Referral Program Terms & Conditions

MITR Referral Program — Terms & Conditions (DRAFT — for attorney review before publication)

My Income Tax Refund Inc. (“MITR,” “we,” “us”) operates the MITR Referral Program (the “Program”) on these terms. By creating a referrer account, you (“Referrer”) agree to them.

1. Eligibility. The Program is open to individuals 18 or older who create a referrer account on myincometaxrefund.com and accept these Terms. MITR employees and independent sales representatives may not earn rewards for referrals made within their MITR duties. MITR may refuse or close any account at its discretion.

2. Referral links and codes. Each Referrer receives a unique referral link and code. Attribution uses a 90-day cookie from the referred person’s first visit through the Referrer’s link, or the Referrer’s code entered on an MITR intake form (subject to review). If both exist, the link/cookie attribution controls. First attribution wins; attributions are not transferable.

3. Qualified referral. A “Qualified Referral” is a person who: (a) is a new MITR client with no prior paid engagement with MITR and is not already recorded in MITR’s systems as a client or active lead; (b) is a different person and a member of a different household than the Referrer; (c) reaches MITR through the Referrer’s link or code as provided in §2; and (d) completes and pays in full for a first MITR service. Free consultations, unpaid registrations, and the Referrer’s own purchases do not qualify. One reward is payable per Qualified Referral, on that client’s first paid service only.

4. Rewards. Each Qualified Referral earns the Referrer a $50 reward, credited to the Referrer’s dashboard as “Pending” when the client’s payment is received. Pending rewards mature 30 days after crediting, provided the client’s payment has not been refunded, charged back, or reversed; a refunded or reversed payment voids the associated reward. There is no cap on total rewards.

5. Payouts. Matured rewards are paid in a monthly batch, by the 15th of the month, once the Referrer’s matured balance is $50 or more, by the method the Referrer selected in the dashboard (PayPal or MITR service credit). Service credit is applied to the Referrer’s own MITR account and has no cash value beyond MITR services. Referrer is responsible for accurate payout details; payments sent to details the Referrer provided are considered delivered. Unclaimed matured balances remain payable for 12 months, after which they may be forfeited following email notice.

6. Taxes. Rewards are income to the Referrer. If a Referrer’s rewards reach $600 in a calendar year, MITR will collect a completed Form W-9 before further payout and will report the earnings on Form 1099-NEC as required by law.

7. Prohibited conduct. Referrers may not: refer themselves or members of their own household; create fake accounts or clients; pay for a referred person’s service to manufacture a reward; offer the referred person any rebate, kickback, or incentive beyond describing the Program; misrepresent MITR’s services, prices, or affiliations (including any implication of IRS or government affiliation); promise tax outcomes or refund amounts; or use spam or deceptive marketing. MITR may void rewards, suspend or close accounts, and withhold payouts for violations, and may review any attribution before crediting.

8. Privacy. Referrers can see limited referral status (visited, signed up, became a client, reward status) and first names only. MITR does not disclose to Referrers what services a referred person purchased, amounts paid, or any tax or financial information.

9. Program changes. MITR may change the reward amount, terms, or end the Program at any time by posting updated terms; changes apply prospectively. Rewards already matured under prior terms will be honored.

10. No agency. Participation creates no employment, agency, partnership, or contractor relationship. Referrers may not bind MITR or speak on its behalf.

11. Liability. To the extent permitted by law, MITR’s liability under the Program is limited to unpaid rewards properly earned under these Terms. The Program is void where prohibited.

12. Governing law. Texas law governs. Questions: info@myincometaxrefund.com · (888) 892-4829.
